Day-wise Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Spiti Valley — High-Altitude Heritage

  • Arrive in Spiti Valley and check in to your hotel or traditional homestay; acclimatise to the cold-desert altitude
  • Scenic walk around the local village and an introduction to Spitian history and mountain culture
  • Explore traditional mud-brick houses built for extreme Himalayan weather and learn about sustainable living in one of the world's highest inhabited regions
  • Evening storytelling with your host family and the peaceful night skies of Spiti; taste thukpa, tingmo, momos, butter tea and roasted-barley dishes

Langza & Komic — Heritage Villages Above the Clouds

  • Visit Langza Village, famous for its fossil-rich landscape, giant Buddha statue, traditional mud houses and panoramic Himalayan views
